The capital of Austria is dripping with history that dates back to Celtic times and takes you through the times of the Roman, Ottoman, and Austro-Hungarian Empires. Sitting in the oldest part of the city – Innere Stadt – drinking coffee and munching on pastries, you can almost breathe the history. You can picture the generations before you walking the same streets and stopping at the same cafes. Your imagination can take you back to another time, another era.

While Vienna is a city that will forever be tied to its past, it also is a modern European capital that is dynamic and full of life. A trip to the opera, the theater and to the numerous art museums should be part of anyone’s Vienna itinerary.

You might want to check prices on flights to Munich, for example, and then take the train to Vienna. Another option is to check out the deals on flights to Vienna on Austrian Airlines.
